Can you remember what numbers your tents were? I saw pictures on internet and it does look like some decks are larger than others, but there were no numbers with the pictures, so I can't say which one is which.

March 2008 Nr 6
October 2009 Nr 4
March 2011 Nr 2

it seems the deck of the Nr 4 was bigger, and maybe also Nr 6
Nr 2 was the smaller

it seems to me the Tents in the North (6-5-4) have a bigger deck

what a chance to go to Punda and in the tent :D

Thank you so much anne-marie :k

You are a darling. :gflower: I think I will try for number 4. Looks like the parking is very close and the tent is a bit further away from the others.

Nr 4 is the most private... and along the fence

We have been in no. 7 last October and the deck was quite big. No special view but quite private. Would be no problem for 8 people but you have to bring more chairs! Ursula

Have stayed in all the tents except for numbers 1 and 4. Originally we didn't like number 5 too much because of the long walk but in the end I think it might be my favourite.

Numbers 5 and 6 have really nice big decks, probably close to double the size of number 2. Number 5's deck is also almost completely under cover with only the braai and a small corner out in the open. Great for those late afternoon thunderstorms. The only problem is the long trek of about 40m up the hill. If you got plenty to off-load it can become a bit strenuous.
Number 6's kitchen gets a lot of sun in the afternoons and can become a bit hot. You can almost fry and egg without switching the stove on :D That also means that the fridge is in the sun for most of the afternoon.
Numbers 2 and 3 are very nice as well and with much shorter and flatter walkways. Number 3 does unfortunately overlook a sewerage hole and can have a bit of a foul smell if the wind direction is unkind.

Thanks so much Johann

If you say number 5 and 6 are almost double the size, then I should probably go for one of those. We will be there during the winter, so maybe the afternoon sun will be a plus point :hmz:
Do you maybe have so pictures of number 5 and 6

Thanks so much. :gflower: Looks like tent number 4 is low and not as high build as some of the other tents? And quite close to the fence

Have only stayed in tent 5 at Punda, but will go back there any time. I think it is as close to the fence as number 4, but if memory serves the vegetation at the fence is a little denser around number 5.

Good morning Albert

Thanks, My mind is also going the direction of number 5. On the map it looks a bit further away than the others, and we don't want other people to be bothered by our chattering.

It's a pleasure. Nope, sorry no pics. I usually only remember on the way to the next camp that I wanted to take pics of the accommodation. So my accommodation image folder is a bit empty. I will have a look over the weekend in the pre-2010 image folders if I can find anything. Definitely nothing recent.
Haha, ja I'm not so sure if it's ever been cold enough in Punda for me to welcome the afternoon sun. We usually try and hide from it. During the 2012 winter, temperatures in the mid-30's were recorded if I remember correctly. Either way I'm sure you'll enjoy it. My favourite camp in Kruger.
