An interesting topic

I am well in favor of trying something new! I prefer to try different camps and units if possible :D Although when it comes to booking with my mom, we know there are certain wheelchair friendly units which are brilliant, and others which are below par. So that narrows it down  If I am going alone, I save about R1000 booking in the South over the North in petrol money. These logistical factors also influence the bookings we make :hmz: Although when the opportunity comes up, I am up for trying something new 8)

My bucket list for the future is to try each one of the parks in the Sanparks's basket.

My last 3 "non Kruger" trips were Mapungubwe, Mount Zebra and Addo. What a pleasure. :D Each has its own beauty, each has its own allure.

Too much to do, too little time :(

We normally only have the privilege of visiting Kruger once a year for 14 days, we always book a camp that we know (Tsendze) and then we also book a camp which we have never been to (this year it was Tamboti), BUT we have been very blessed this year as we are going to the Kruger for 5 days in December. This is pretty "scary" for us as we have never been in December and we are not too sure what to expect weatherwise or crowd wise, BUT what we do know is that we will have a good time just being in the park. We are not camping we have booked two huts in Pretoriuskop (for 3 of us)

Thank you Lion Queen for your effort to find and share with us information regarding the Struben Cottage in Skukuza  . At least now we know that the cottage is being renovated. I guess for some of us the historical relevance of the cottage is the attraction to stay in it :)

My "something new" is going to be Tzendze in December. I have seen so many positive posts about this camp that I have to try it for myself.

I have also noted that Tzendze is the one camp that is highly commended in a consistent and an ongoing manner by people who have been there. Something must be done really well there as the good service delivery is very visible to people visiting the camp and Tzendze could therefore easily qualify for a “tried and trusted” camp :D  . I hope you will enjoy your December visit MM 8) and many happy :cam: .

I have always thought the game viewing is the poorest in the Mopani or Tzenze region of the Park :hmz:
But like MM, I feel that Tzenze is calling me!! I have never stayed there, but I think try Tzenze when I get the chance :D

My feelings as well, Cheetah. There seems to be a challenge of something different, something new. Being by nature a reflective person living with the fast forward button pressed down, this is going to be... well interesting.
