Goodness, Edgar, I wonder why that happened? Was it weather related?

and also, a very warm welcome to you

Possibly the N'waswitshaka River was overflowing the low level bridge, I remember when we were there last Feb. the water was flowing over it steadily and I think they have had much more rain recently.

Hi Edgar Val and others,

The reason for the road closure is that the causeway over the Nwaswitshaka river was washed away. I was there in December, and the road was closed from the entrance point on the Doispane Road. Notices to this effect were also up at reception at Skukuza (next to the sightings board). I think the reason for the road still being opened from the H1-1 side was to allow people to still access the Nwaswitshaka waterhole. Agreed though, warning signs should have been errected at the entrance to that road from the H1-1.

Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Pat :D
