We have been using the Crocodile Bridge entrance every year for the past 21 years at least twice a year. We watched the increase in traffic volumes and with the change in rainfall how often it was closed. We have just returned and used the new bridge and gate for the first time, what a wonderful experience. On Christmas day we were dreading the crowd but what a pleasant surprise! :D the staff were so efficient and pleasant, they were using the exit gate as an entrance and we had absolutely no wait! What was even more pleasing was that the water level was so high that the old bridge would not even have been visible.
My congratulations to all the staff on a wonderful job in completing the project and the smooth operation of the new facility

How is the new bridge holding out with the high water levels this summer?

Hi! The bridge has remained open at all times in spite of very heavy rainfall. If we had had the same rain last year, the bridge would by now have been closed for approx 2 weeks,...but it is fully functioning.

Long live the new bridge - despite the high water levels friends of mine are crossing it into KNP later today :)

I drove over the new bridge on 24, 25 and 26 Dec. Despite all the heavy rain the river water level was still below the bridge. The new gate is excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful

Hi Catman, also drove over the bridge on the 7th at about 5pm, water was starting to splash onto the
bridge in places, but no flooding! Took some great pics.
Last year however was a different story...
