I was there a few days after it re-opened in early October. I don't think it looked much different to when I was there a couple of years ago. The railings round the area where you can park and get out of your vehicle seemed to be new. I don't have any photos.

Philip, we had visited Pafuri picnic site several times over the years, but had no idea there was more to found!!!

It was not until I joined the forums and heard people mentioning Crooks Corner, that my ears pricked up!!!

On our next visit, after calling in to see frank at Pafuri, we drove on to Crooks.

I felt as though I was in an enchanted forest with all those fever trees - it was truly magical, and then the historical interest of Crooks itself made it a very special visit.

Since then we have returned several times, and I was devastated to hear of the floods earlier this year!!!

I'm so glad we can visit again.

Well done SANParks.

No, on foot from the Makuleke side. The road to Crooks' on that side has not been completely fixed yet, you have to walk the last bit.
