Granny's topic, April in Kruger, has given us a different aspect from which to see the park.
We could have a separate topic for each month of the year.
The headline "March in Kruger" could also mean a demo walk so I changed it to "Kruger in March"!
So, what can you tell us?
Lush vegetation, migrant birds fattening up for departure flights, youngsters finding their feet, some days and nights a little cooler!

Went to Kruger in March a few years ago.

The bush was thick, but generally it wasn't a problem.
One of my best trips.

Lots of Carmine Bee Eaters around!

Been in Kruger 3 times in March
Little rain
lots of birds
many of youngers
mind you, you can have some hot days
always had a few of 40 degrees.

The only area i do avoid is Pretoriuskop in march
grass can be as high as 3 meters.

Towards the end of March, in the south, we did see a few woodland kingfishers and carmine bee-eaters but no sign of the kites!
The golden orb spiders were spinning away.
The bush was very thick and green, but we still managed good mammal sightings by spending most of our time out there searching!

For a realistic impression of the park in March, I don't think you can do better than to read Noel's trip report titled
"Noel Kruger in a somber mood in March ( April 2012 )"
We were in similar areas over the same dates this year and had nearly as many good sightings.
Noel has a great balance between photos and comments and includes
"all things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small"
Thanks to Noel, I relived my trip. Sorry I missed it when it was originally being posted but glad to have found it eventually.
