#39 isn't quite so nice as #40, but it is definitely my 2nd choice and I'm sure that you'll be happy with it. Enjoy Tamboti!

Thanks Arks! Well, as long as it would be your second choice - that's good! Can't have nr 40, so just wanted to check if there was any other second choice, other than 39. But then happy we got it!

Next question: I've read a lot on this forum about the baboons coming to steal food at Tamboti... :naughty: What would you advise to secure one's food? Are there proper "baboon-proof" cupboards? Do you need to take specific boxes? :hmz:

Hi Bushbuddies,

Just go back a little on this forum for advice.

They have a steel "cage" outside each chalet to put your stuff in -- NB the monkeys still put their hands through the bars and eat your avos, fruit etc. quite easily! So even there, it needs to be INSIDE something. The other option is to leave a lot of your food in the trailer/boot.

I usually leave food inside the tent in a cupboard where it is NOT visible from outside, and we make sure the gauze is closed as well...
Enjoy!

I got stung badly by wasps that hide behind the sightings board -- they pop out as soon as you want to put a pin on the board and zap you!

Maye we'll bump into each other there one day!

God bless,

Friedrich von Hörsten
