I stayed in the NG2V. The view at 87 is slightly better than 86 (but nothing wrong with 86)
Here is a picture of the view (there are elephants there)

The BD2V do have a better view.
The fridges in the NG2V are outside the bungelow. Be careful of the vervet monkeys- they nearly stole our lunch while we were eating

Hello, my husband and I have a reservation for two nights at Olifants at the end of August in a BD2U unit which looks like it is one of #19-24. Can anyone recommend which of these might have the best view? DH is very keen to photograph the sunsets -- and would like to know which have views that are not obstructed. Thanks in advance.

Hi Lisa,

We had # 19 when we stayed there last year.
In my opinion it had nice views of the bush and reasonable ones of the river.

I had wanted the best view ones but they were unavailable for the full 4 nights we wanted.

If you have a look Here there are some pics I took of the view from the bungalow.
You will have to scroll down a bit to get there.

We stayed in No14 in March.
Was brilliant. Had a great view of the river. A nice sitting area etc.

It is one of the family (4 bed) units though.

Hi All

Anyone with some photos and / or information on Unit 18 (FQ4U1)? We will be staying here from 28 - 30 December (3 nights).

Can't wait

Hi,
as DuQues said, it's one of the best places in Olifants. No;14 has a little better view but it's really wunderfull.
Kitchen (ofcourse) outside and the rest inside. We've been there a few times and it's always good to come back in no.18 sit on the couch and enjoy the wunderfull view. :cam:
Good Choice!

Hi everyone,

I've come across some old(ish) photos of the Park in April 1989.

I was curious as to where in Olifants these two huts are. Does anyone recognise them? The road/hill in the background should provide a bit of a clue.

Any ideas?

Jeff

HI Jeff,

This is unit number 32 and 33, the unit codes are BG3. This are the units opposite the river view units and kitchen # 2.

Hi All, does one call reception at camp and request a specific bungalow or do they just allocate one anyway - Do I call them or just reservations to find out where I'm booked into?

We usually phone the camp about 3 weeks before
arrival to request a specific unit.
But remember it is only a request...

If you have booked a BD2V unit # 3 is
awesome

We had # 19, 2 years ago and was quite happy with it as it gave one a view into the bush and yet still some river view.

Hi forumites

We've been to Olifants in October 2010 and were very happy to see (for the first time in 3 years) that they are finished building. IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL!!!

We plan to visit Olifants in August this year and booked number 18. After searching for hours I could not find photos from forumites of unit 18. So if anyone has photos of this particular bungalow or view from the bungalow, please share with us. I would apreciate it. (I started a topic "accommodation photo's" HERE so feel free to post pictures there)
