We spent two nights in the camp recently (10&11 August)

I must say that the camp is very well looked after and the staff are extremely friendly, from the cleaners, to shop staff, even the guy at the petrol pump!

The view from the chalets are amazing and the stars even better!

Game is a little scarce in the area but the views make up for that, we had an exceptional sunset drive with John (the guide), saw leopard, lion and other great sightings!

I will definately visit Olifants again, but only for an overnight stay to mainly go on the mountain bike trail, which unfortunately we didn't get to do this time around

Hi all

Do you know if this 2 bed bungalow in Oliphants has a braai?

I cannot see from any of the photos where any of the accommodation in Oliphants has a braai - but we are especially interested in FQ4V2.

Many thanks

Marie

Hi Matriek

Stayed in unit 14 a few years ago and it is really a fantastic place. A large deck (stoep) and a fab view on the river - braai was at the back.

Enjoy

Hi shivati

Welcome back to the forum.

The BD3U units are the OLD BG3U units. Numbers 106 - 111

We've stayed in them a few times and have great views. You can look at the accommodation page for them. (I still have to change their type numbers, will do so this afternoon  ) Just look for the numbers and you will see the views.

Enjoy it

Just changed it Shivati. I forgot about it, thanks for reminding me.

The BD3U units are all upgraded with nice kitchens now, so I think you will love them. We did

They have lovely views. We stayed there in July in unit 109 and it was excellent. Enjoy your trip and you won't be disappointed!

A question about unit 14 that I can't figure out from looking at the pictures on the accommodation photos thread:

Is one able to access the front of the unit from the verandah? Or are you restricted to your stoep? One photo shows the braai next to the bungalow and Leana mentioned earlier in this thread that the braai is "at the back"...

Anyone able to clear this for me, please?

Rooikat, you cannot access the bungalow from the front, the veranda is enclosed and quite high off the ground which maximizes the stunning view.
You enter from a door at the back into the kitchen and then onto the veranda.
The 2 bedrooms each lead off from there.
The braai is off to the one side, just below the driveway and does have some view of its own.
We have just stayed in # 14 and can say it was absolutely fantastic.

Thank you, Elsa, the photos now make more sense!
Relieved that the braai has some view of its own!

Can't wait to sit on the view deck and watch the treasures Kruger has to show us. We are campers and have booked into a bungalow to be able to watch the sun set from the deck. What have you seen from the deck
