I would say most definitely they are worth it as you have a nice riverside view.

Have a look Here for some nice pics of one and more from Here

Done!
Thanks Elsa

I just want to give a big shout out to the people who manage the online reservation system. It is so much better than it used to be
You would have to first cancel a bungalow in order to add an alternative one.I always worried that in that period of time that the one I wanted would disappear and would be left with nothing

Is the Struben Historical Family Cottage always fully booked? I have not seen it for any of the calendar months indicated as available on the availability page.

We have never stayed at Skukuza and decided to spend the last 2 nights of our 3 week Kruger trip at the end of the year at Skukuza.

We will be taking either a BD2 or a BD3 unit. Please could someone recommend the best unit numbers in these categories.
We would like a quiet area not too near the hussle and bustle. Preferably with a nice outlook of trees etc. I realise that these units are not near the river.
Is the east side or the west side of the entry road preferable?

Didn't the name change of the guest house? I'm sure I saw it somewhere that it no longer called Struben Guest House

The Struben Cottage has significant historical value for many. I hope the restoration/renovation will be completed soon as this cottage has economic value for Sanparks and could generate income of more that R500 000 per year. Many visitors would stay in this cottage for its historical value and other reasons. Fee I am not aware that the name has changed.

Will this delay the restoration if people have moved in to stay :hmz: This historical cottage should not become like the historical Selati restaurant that seems (sadly) ghostly abandoned.

Dear Stakeholders

Struben Guest Cottage is still unavailable under the Global Booking System, We are waiting for the final architectural impressions of the renovations before implementing the upgrades.

This is due to a lot of complaints from guests with regards to the kitchen being very far from the units, In the new plan the kitchen will be close to the veranda.

Guests are advised to check with Skukuza Camp directly for availability and to make a booking through Skukuza Camp if the cottage is available.

Guest can contact 013 735 4152 / 013 735 4000 to check for availability and bookings.
