it was pretty early in the morning, made my way straight from camp to the loop, they were in the same spot for at least 3 days, by a little dam. the male we saw with them was terribly injured

Gomondwane Loop!!

One of our favourite drives in the Park. As far as 20 years back my grandmother told me that this was one of the best and I believe it still is.

We saw about ten lion cubs by themselves on this road in February this year and it was awesome. The next day we saw the same cubs with the rest of the pride and it took them about 20 minutes to cross the road one by one.

Hi there everyone, I'll be in the south of the park in the first week of may (coming from croc bridge) and was wondering whether anyone has driven the S130 lately or during early winter. Good? Bad? So so experiences? Is it worth driving when going to LS in other words than the H4-2 for example?

I can't believe I neglected this road in Feb this year :wall:
From earlier posts I can gather that the road is best driven in Summer. And in Feb the S130 could only have been better than the H4-2  It is on my list to try next time!!
