Welcome to the forums Leoni

I have also not stayed at Tzenze, but it's my understanding, that snakes and spiders etc, are just as likely to be found in Skukuza as a rustic camp.............both are in Africa, and both are in the bush, even though Skuks is larger and more populated. A snake does not know the difference (other than one will be quieter I suppose)

I am very phobic with snakes and spiders, and each Kruger visit, I worry that I will be sharing my bungalow with one of them, but so far so good!!

Keep vigilant and watch where you step, but if you want to stay at Tzendze, then go for it!!

Hope you have a wonderful trip.

Do not know? Maybe RodgH put leash and ushered
the gentle giant out!! It's all part and parcel of the fun
and games. Makes the place real rustic.

Not to worry tent dweller and do enjoy those brief
moments life has to offer. They are special!!!

Good morning lovely people,
thanks DB for posting my pic yesterday,
I also saw a leopard,on my way back from Phalaborwa,
a distance from the camp going backwards 17km, people from the camp here at Tsendze saw leopard and Cheetah nearly to fight, but leopard runaway,
he went on top of the tree to be safety, but cheetah look up to the tree, if you are reading the forum from the camp, go and meet people from site 26, they will show you the pics of the leopard and the Cheetah when they nearly fight, who's the boss?
it was a Cheetah just because Leopard runaway,
it happened on s49 road near Mooiplaas Dam,
M Rodgerh, see you @ the Camp if you are at Tsendze camp this morning,am out for now.

I have just returned from spending 14 days in the Kruger, 7 were spent at Tsendze. Rodger/Elina you guys are doing a GREAT job. When we arrived our braai was spotlessly clean and it was kept in that condition the whole duration of our trip. Rodger has a brilliant sense of humour and a great disposition. He has such a good attitude towards the park as well as to all his "guests" at Tsendze.

Most of you who are active on this thread already love Tsendze and it's not hard to see why.
It really is the nicest campsite in the park, for so many reasons.
We had another really successful visit last month.
Watching Rodgers and Elina worry whenever people who are booked in to one of 'their' sites don't return to camp by closing time, it occurred to me to put out a request here.
If you get side-tracked, or decide to visit friends at Phalaborwa, or don't intend to return one night for whatever reason, PLEASE let Rodgers &Elina - or even Mopani reception - know.
You've no idea the worry you will save them.
Most camps won't know if you're back or not, but at Tsendze the staff check that all their chickens are back in the hok.
If they're not, they worry that you may be stranded somewhere.
That's something special and we should cherish it.

For 12 of the reasons I love Tsendze see http://roxannereid.weebly.com/1/post/20 ... -tops.html .
You can add your own reasons to the list too, if you like.

Beautiful pool there at Mopanie.
Seems hardly used!!!

Went on a birding trail lost the track
and found myself wandering next to
the pool. Mopani will be your hosting
camp while at Tsendze. You may even
use the restaurant after gate closure
time!! A special priviledge. So enjoy!!
