On the webcam it looks like the waterhole at Nossop is in a very bad condition.Maybe it can be repaired and neaten up to come in line and acceptable for international tourism by giving it a beter appearance.
Hope to see some improvement soon.

Regards
Abram

Hi Abram, will pass on your message.

I think from an animal's perspective, as long as the water is drinkable, they are more than happy, and ultimately it is about sightings (animals) at the waterhole that keep the cammers/visitors excited :D

Hi ABRAM,

Welcome to the forum!

The waterhole is in the riverbed so it should be rustic and wild.

 No paving, flower pots and brass taps, please?

Hi Dinkybird

Thanks for your comment-It sounds like drinking coffee from a dirty cup.As long as the coffee is clean, the rest doesnt matter for some people in life.

Regards
Abram

Abram, how do you suggest it 'come in line and acceptable for international tourism' ?

Maybe we can upgrade it like the water holes at Satara and Orpen in the Kruger National Park. Can some-one send some photos taken at this location for better suggestions.

It's also in the desert, very little rainfall, underground water is pumped to the waterhole, the pump is operated by a generator, so no sprinklers to make the area around it green and pretty I'm afraid

I understand it but maybe we can give it a nize round or oval shape like the ones in kruger then the animals can party there.

Maybe if it's too big, it would be an extra load on the pump and generator, the main priority is to see that the animals have water

Actually have a look at it at sunrise or sunset, it has a special beauty of its own and the animals just seem to love it

Lovely visitor

You know there is a hide overlooking the waterhole, when you sit in that hide, the waterhole is the most beautiful thing, a source of life giving water. Wonderful sitting there and seeing the animals come running for a drink, they don't care if it's round, oval, oblong or square, as long as there is water in it, they are very happy
