Our local Hyena clan members are regulars on our Satara web cam. I am sure if they were lions, everyone would have had a name by now!

:hmz: So ... how about us starting to watch them, make notes, start to i.d. individuals, see when they come and visit, interesting events captured ... We can really start compiling a neat history here ...

When I saw the hyena pictures from Satara today, I wondered if it was the hyena that had been pregnant. :hmz: If so, she seems to have had her pups.

Would say there spots markings same as wild dogs.But to me they all look alike. :lol: :lol:

Yes, I think it would be through individual looks. I don't think we will be able to use whisker spots ... even if it is possible, the camera quality will not allow us.

But I think if we start posting photos, we will soon start getting an idea of the regulars.

Numbers 1 and 5 look like the same animal and the same with pic 2+3+4 and 8 and 9 look like different individuals, cant tell with the others
