Our local Hyena clan members are regulars on our Satara web cam. I am sure if they were lions, everyone would have had a name by now!

So ... how about us starting to watch them, make notes, start to i.d. individuals, see when they come and visit, interesting events captured ... We can really start compiling a neat history here ...

When I saw the hyena pictures from Satara today, I wondered if it was the hyena that had been pregnant. :hmz:

If so, she seems to have had her pups.

Would say there spots markings same as wild dogs.But to me they all look alike. :lol:

Yes, I think it would be through individual looks. I don't think we will be able to use whisker spots ... even if it is possible, the camera quality will not allow us.

But I think if we start posting photos, we will soon start getting an idea of the regulars.

Numbers 1 and 5 look like the same animal and the same with pic 2+3+4 and 8 and 9 look like different individuals, cant tell with the others
