I am way down country and regulaly see swimming baboons in fact there is a pan in a nearby reserve called baboons swemgat (swimming hole).
Growing up in the north of botswana I also recall swimming baboons - in fact in one hotel we sometimes had to case them out the pool so that guests could use it.

I have also heard stories of baboons using swimming pools. If you or anyone else can PM me photos of any cases where baboons are swimming in deeper water, I will appreciate it.
Information of where it was and also what the weather was like will help what is now becoming a field of study.
