Thank you so much, Trrp-trrrrrrrr, for doing the YFS while I was away. :gflower: You did a fantastic job. :gflower:

I did manage a quick one-day visit to Kruger and, apart from spotted cats, managed to see the rest of the Big Five as well as wild dogs and a Martial eagle. At one point I could see all three non-cat members of the Big Five by just turning my head. That’s a first for me. :D

We have had a lot of interesting sightings on the cams since Wednesday, including workmen on three of the four cams.

The winning pics from last time included a tie for third place: 19; 15; 4+17 and 13, although the voters were few, and no-one had the same numbers. Image

Apologies for not posting yesterday, as I mentioned there was a power cut. We’ve had wonderful rain in Joburg this last couple of days – very welcome in this dry country.

Wednesday’s winners were no surprise – all of the lion pics were in the top 5. 1-13-4-11-5 were the favourites this time. No-one chose the same numbers.

1st: 1 Catching a bit of early morning sun :D
2nd: 13 Who goes there ?
3rd: 4 Mr Handsome
4th: 11 This pool's too small for a swim :D
5th: 5 Mrs H :D

Good evening YFS-ers :yaya:

“Lions again the winners” is the headline – and that’s not rugby. :D 5-9-8-2 were the chosen top four, with a tie on the bird bonus choice 6 and 14, and no-one had the right numbers. :(

1 st: 5 Or this one with the beautiful face?
2nd: 9 Two brownies in daylight
3rd: 8 Slaking their thirst after a feast :D
4th: 2 Early morning wildebeeste

and the two bonus bird pics which tied:
6 Blacksmith lapwing family
14 Geese in residence at Satara

Do you like the bird bonus choice? Could it be better organised?

Few predators were seen since Monday, which gives a chance to select other pics.
