Do lions prefer the far end of the Satara water hole or what ?? All the lion sightings seem to be in that spot - I can imagine they won't want to have their backs turned towards the camp fence = humans = enemy ( we hardly see any animal on the near side ) , but why are all the lions always just in that corner ?

Knowing Satara well, it may be true saying that they are facing humans.

As the cam sits If I remember, the exit gate from the camp sits to the left (off screen) the cam faces the main road (behind the lions almost paralell to the warer hole) and then to the right (off cam) the staff camp is situated. So maybe yes they have their back towards normal bush and their faces towards the main camp.

Another thing to notice is that there seems to be two main game paths where on enters the Satara hole where the lions are busy drinking from.
