Timbavati is very close - I'd say a kilo from the cam. Does it have enough water in it though for hippo? Nothing else as far as dams or rivers close by.

I was also trying to puzzle out where the nearest water was and couldn't, I didn't want to spoil it for anyone but decided they were possibly rhino and not hippo.

Wow -never gave rhino a thought. Had another look with my special view glass :wink: and still think it is a hippo going away from the wh....

What do the rest of you think?

Ive had a look at it, and unless there are new animals in the park, this is indeed a Hippo...

I reckon hippo too, there must be nice pools at places in the Timbavati. If the cam wasn't on a go slow we would have missed the sighting altogether 8) . Marabou now.

Re the cam's go slow - I am just hoping that it is due to the fact that Kruger time has slowed....give those of us in the Park soon longer there :lol:

:oops: I am getting rather embarrassed at how much I am referring to this trip next week - but you all so understand the excitement hey 8) A large part of the joy of this forum is being able to interact with Krugerholics!!!

Don't be embarassed, half the fun is the build up to a kruger trip, I know exactly how you feel :D
