it sounds like an immature Burchell's, yes.

A google search of immature Burchell's gave some results that fit my sighting a 100%, so thanks a lot wildtuinman!!

Hi Michael,

no, not a general issue, just a work proxy block on my side. :wall:

Pleasure! :thumbs_up:

Burchell's coucals usually have white breasts, I think? Is this possibly something different?

Maybe a juvenile Burchell's as I see they are said to have buffy underparts?

If you want serious attention, you'll have to give serious detail of the sighting, arks...

Otherwise this is a Burchell's coucal with dirty underparts...

Not sure what you mean by "serious detail", but I did fail to mention that it was seen on the S92 south of Olifants and on 25 April 2012. Since that's 4 months ago, I don't remember any further 'details' :wink:

@Elsa: thanks for that 'clue'!

That's the detail I was referring to :wink:

I'll make a guess:

2. Burchell's coucal

(also you really should be specific about which park when you ask for ID, as for many formumites, 'the park' is KTP :wink: )

OK didn't know about KTP being the park. :-) These were taken in KNP around croc bridge area on the way to Hippo pools.
