I finally found a pic of the typical East Cape Black phase of the Nuwejaarsvoel (Jacobin Cuckoo) taken a few weeks ago at Addo...sorry it took so long but my Computer files are a mess!!

Saw a Jacobin's Cuckoo on the H1-4 on a cold windy day right next to the road. I'll try to find my pic of it...

Great shot. Your bird has a lot of character. Saw my first ones on the Mahonie Loop years ago.
