S41 (linking S100 to H6) on one of the causeways there, the one with the rocky section on the Moz side of the road, we have had good sightings there on a few different visits to the park. Close to the road.

Pics will follow :D

Best spot for us for kingfishers this year was the Biyamiti causeway on the S25 - Saw Malachite, giant and pied there

Normally all the causeways in Kruger are great to spot them as long as there is enough water left

Undoubtedly Lake Panic and Sunset dam would also be great spots to find them.

Wish you an awesome time, John

All of the mentioned sites are possibilities for Malachites . Lake Panic the most likely . If you are passing through Johannesburg and have a morning to spare though , Marievale bird sanctuary (Hadeda Hide ) is very reliable for malachites between sunrise and 8am . Marievale is just under an hour's drive from Johannesburg .

Last year April we saw many malachites around Pretoriuskop. Almost everywhere the road dips and a little stream flowed across the road there were a malachite around. I specifically remember seeing them on Voortrekker Road and on the dirt road loops south and west of the camp. E.g.:
