Well done Mousey  last lot I remember from you was a dronk ou and a grey headed dingus

Jizz or as the fundis spell it GISS means General Impression, Shape and Size is a very important tool in identifying birds, often just how the bird hold its wings could lead one to the right direction for identifying the bird. The thick hooked bill is mainly what distinguishes this fiscal shrike from the flycatcher. This little birdie is a full on predator and the only reason why it is not classified as a raptor is because it does not use its tallons to kill its prey. Another interesting feature is the females have a tan smudge just below the wing maybe it is from the deodorant  whereas the males is all white.

Thanks for your help Dabchick

Thank you for participation. I am just checking on one bird and I will be getting back to you.

I am a duckling, remember. At least there were no hidden birds in trees this time around.

Firstly, thank you all who participated.

White-backed Vultures

This caused a challenge for some, as the one vulture looked decidedly different. It was also difficult to see certain features. The Cape Vulture looks similat, but is much larger. The White-backed Vulture is the most commonly found vulture in Kruger and this also strenthens the white backed identity.

The beauties are Maribou Stork, Yellow billed Srork and possibly Great Egret. Not really enough to give a definitive answer on the egret. It was so blended in though that it was difficult to see it as another species.

I am handing over to whoever wants.

This has been great fun.
