Hello Ducklings,

Thank you MM for doing the last three Ducklings challenges, I will post this one and I think Sky will do the next couple.

1

The first seven are all found in Joburg and the last three were photographed in Kruger.

Let's see what you make of these. I think some reading and research will be required :twisted:

If you want to give me the Afrikaans names that will also do. From the next challenge I will take birds of one region only or if you would rather have different regions just let me know

So here goes

1) What is it and where was the picture taken (Region)

The next pictures were taken in the eastern side of Botswana

Hello Ducklings, here are the answers to the challenge (??) I set, which didn't seem to be much of a challenge for those who responded.

Well done to everyone who got all of the answers right.

1 African sacred ibis

2 Cape robin chat

3 Grey go away birds

4 Cape sparrows

5 Speckled mousebird

6 Egyptian goslings

7 Southern masked weavers

8 Juvenile Bateleur

9 Black crake

10 Violet backed starling

Common fiscal; eastern region as it has no white supercilium
This was taken in Addo I even thought I had a new tick when I took the picture
