All I can say is that I had an awesome time looking for birds in the Park....please can someone ID these for me...

This one near Hippo Pools....(from what I can see in my Sasol book ...a Southern White Crowned Shreik...but it says they do not appear in this area..

Southern White Crowned Shrike - you definitely do get them in and around Kruger.

Southern White-crowned Shrike (eurocephalus anguitimens)

The (Southern) White-crowned Shrike (Eurocephalus anguitimens) is a species of bird in the Laniidae family. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and dry savanna.

In Afrikaans the birds is known as Kremetartlaksman.

The Southern White-crowned Shrike has a height of 25 cms and weighs around 70 gms. The head and throat is coloured white while the bill is coloured black. The legs, back and eyes are brown.

The Southern White-crowned Shrike is a monogamous bird, which means that the bird finds and breeds with one partner for the rest of its life. The bird lies between 2 to 5 eggs and they are coloured white.

Saw this little fella near the shop at Croc Bridge. :thumbs_up:

Sorry it's a rubbish picture, but it kept moving!!!

We were thrilled because it was a lifer for us both!! :dance:
