Cape Turtle Dove/Ring Necked Dove
Streptopelia capicola

Food: Seed, insects, fallen grain, bread and termite alates.
Habitat: Woodland, savanna, riverine bush, farmland, city parks, urban and rurual gardens.
Habits: Solitary, in pairs or in flocks (sometimes of up tp several houndred birds). Forages on ground with short steps while bobbing its head. Drinks mainly in the morning. Flies high up to a point then glides back down again. Flight fast and direct. They are vocal throughout the day and often at night.

Saw this Cape Turtle Dove in the Kruger National Park.
