Hi Stiffnecks! Could you please assist me with ID'ing / conforming these birds? I took up a fundraising before my trip to KTP and each bird that makes it on my list is worth 10 ZAR, so your help is for a good cause too. Mind you, I'll be back regularly though. :redface:

Venturing into this topic again ...

I took this pic at Mountain Zebra and the end of May. Its not very clear, and the only one I managed to get. Is this a fly catcher, or are the legs not those of a fly catcher?

Hi DB,

Have a look at Southern Anteating Chat in your guide book. Did you see it fly? The white underwings would have been obvious if you did?

Thanks Barcud and Josh. I have hauled out my books but I am going to take your word for it! I do not recall what it looked like while flying - so another lesson for me; to take more note of the bird in flight :thumbs_up:
