Please can someone confirm or deny that this is a Croaking Cisticola (with reasons for ID if possible :D ) ? It was seen in Kruger in June in the south around the Berg-en-Dal region.

Another bird that has me stymied :wall: I'd at first thought perhaps a female Cape sparrow, but it has a light coloured bill ... so perhaps a juvenile of some sort? Seen in my garden in Darling in late September 2013.

Any ideas on this one? (Awful pic I know, heavily cropped)We saw it at Mooiplaas in June ; it stayed in this narrow channel for quite a while investigating foodstuff, always with its back to us, then suddenly disappeared into the grass.

Red legs, prominent eyebrow, bill of a seedeater, Buffy flanks... One of the red-legged Indigobirds or shaft-tailed whydah... Closer than that I don't think possible from this pic.
