Nice video, and great trip report. I'll definitely carry on following it.

Back from a months travel that included a short KTP visit beginning October. Besides my first photos of Lanner Falcon, Pygmy Falcon and Brown Snake Eagle we came across this big grey-ish bird that I can't place. Saw a number of Goshawks in-between juvenile and adult feathers, but this one doesn't seem to fit that bill with the white brow:?

HI Great Dane

My best guess would be Pale Chanting Goshawk
But then I have been known to be wrong

Hi everybody

First I must say that I´m an absolute ignorant on birds, but on my first trip to the Kruger, this August, I took some pictures of a few birds and posted them on my ongoing TR, I tried to ID the birds and now I have some doubts regarding this two:

This one I think it´s a Brown Snake Eagle

And to me this seems to be a Tawny Eagle

I thought I had it right but then Heksie said that maybe they are both Wahlberg Eagles.

Can someone please ID them?

Agree with Lizet. Both Tawny Eagles. Remember that Brown Snake Eagle has a yellow eye, and fully grey bill. Both these birds look too big for Wahlberg's, and their bills are much too robust.

Could this be a Steppe Eagle? Spotted on the road between Lower Sabie and Skukuza at the end of October.

Another one - pics taken at Ngwenya Lodge, last weekend in October. My first thought was Little Sparrow Hawk, but the bird looked to big. Am I just optimistic to think it can perhaps be an African Goshawk? - would be a lifer for me!

Your 1st one is a Tawny Eagle, and your accipter is an African Goshawk, there's been one resident at Ngwenya for a few years now. It perches on top of the 1 bat box every evening and catches a bat as they are coming out. Congrats on the lifer.

I'm thinking this is a Juvenile Tawny, but my juvies' knowledge is poor!

Taken somewhere in Kruger - between Orpen and Satara
