When I looked at the first pics I thought it looked like a BSK, but the colouration was wrong. I have never seen a juvenile, only this sub adult in Bontebok NP.

I love these birds! Since I've been birding - it is amazing how many of them are around me. Nearly on all the road I travel, I'll see at least one.
This one was taken in Kruger near,Mopanie 2008.

I saw this small raptor in Pilanesberg NP 3 weeks ago. ANyone who can ID this ?

Photo is taken from long distance in grey weather, so quality is not so good.

Black-shouldered Kite for your second pic. This is an adult. Has red eyes, grey back, long wings.
