My list is horribly slow at climbing, added Antarctic Tern at Cape Recife and Macoa Duck at Rietvlei. New total 538, year-end total of 550 seems far fetched! :?

A big dissapointment actually. I kept on dipping on the Southern Black Koorhaan, every time we drove through the Karoo (just over the mountain from where I now live). Really anoying since my wife who works in Oudshoorn sees them on a weekly basis.

But I finally got one! I really wanted to get a Knysna Woodpecker for 600, cos that has been driving me dilly since I moved to the southern cape.

Please update me to 221.

A trip to Kruger and some general KZN birding has sky-rocketed my list from the end of 2012.

Target = 255 (2 weeks in Kgalagadi and Augrabies in early dec - hopefully lots of lovely birds will be seen)

I'm up to 597 with some of my latest additions including Caspian Plover at Mkhombo Dam, Green Twinspot, Cape Parrot, Barrat's Warbler, Rufous-chested Sparrowhawk all around Magoebaskloof.

Edging closer and closer to 600!

Just back from our trip to Agulhas and despite high winds and flooding preventing access to the salt pans and wetland areas we managed 15 new ticks giving us an updated total of 460.
