Very excited, just seen a Cape Sugarbird in our garden here in PE - never knew it came along as far as this from the Southern/ Western Cape. Would it be something that escaped from captivity or are they found here often? Even stuck around long enough to get the camera out and take some photo's - don't know how clear they will be though!

You know me too well JenB. :lol: Well within its range in Port Elizabeth. Distribution ranges from Saldanha as far up as Calvinia and eatwards as far as East London. Port Elizabeth specifically mentioned.

Their distribution is from "extreme sw and s Cape from Cedarberg to Buffalo River near East London" according to my PDA Roberts.

Lovely sighting :thumbs_up:
