 Post subject: Cape Batis - ringed

Good evening all

On Tuesday I took photos from close up of a Cape Batis in the Harold Porter Gardens. Only when I looked at the photos at home did I realise that the bird had been ringed. Although not 100% clear an experienced ringer who knows what to look for should be able to read some of the info on the rings. If anyone is interested please pm me and I can send full size photos to you as the file sizes would simply be too big for the forum. I include a photo suitable downsized for the forum to whet appetites. I have two photos where the ring is clearly viewable.

I tried to visit the Paarl Sanctuary today and was turned way as the roads were too dangerous - from flooding I presume.
