Buttonquail, Kurrichane

Spotted this one on the Orpen Road. It had a chick with it and I hope Moegaai posts his pic as it has the adult and chick in it.

Here's one of my pics. The sad thing about the pic turned out to be a great point of reference - a cigarette butt next to the road in the KNP! We were VERY lucky that the adult was being held back by the chick, allowing us all some pics.

That little chick is running around but is smaller than a cigarette butt. 8)
