Golden Gate Highlands National Park, managed by South African National Parks is covered in a blanket of snow and it is continuing to fall. According to Gerrit Potgieter, Hotel Manager: Golden Gate and Chalets, “this is the heaviest snowfall we have seen since 2006”. “… the snow is continuing to fall and is really thick.”

Accommodation is still available for those wishing to experience the beautiful winter wonderland. Visitors wishing to book should contact Central Reservations on 012 428 9111 or email reservations@sanparks.org.

Actually, while it snows it is not too cold at all. Usually around +4 degrees.
