Info on Stormsriver & Wilderness

Unread postby jacquespienaar » Mon Dec 07, 2009 11:55 am

Hi there

I searched, but I could not get an answer. At the Stormsriver & Wilderness camp sites - does each site have it's own braai facility or should I take one with?

Thanks

Hi Jacques.

At Wilderness NP (Ebb & FLow campsite) you hire the braai setup (with grid) from reception - this applies to camping only as the cabins / chalets etc all have their own allocated braai. You pay a deposit and then get charged per day - depending on how long you want to keep it for - we usually just hire one for the duration of our stay. Obviously you get your deposit back when you hand back the slip. You could also pack in your own braai - but that means taking up space that could be utilised for something else - like beers etc. Just kidding.

Have not camped at Stormsriver yet but I somehow think they have permanently built braai facilities at the sites. You probably need to take your own braai grid. :hmz: Sure someone else will confirm / answer.

Thanks Munchkin. I think I'll give Storms River a ring.

Hi Jacques

If you look careful you will see the built braai at every stand. I am not sure about the actual "rooster".
