A grand day at Tsitsikamma

Unread postby ph87gb » Wed Nov 25, 2009 11:32 pm

What an awesome place Tsitsikamma is, had an all too brief visit there on our recent trip. The visit made all the better by the sunshine and huge swell rolling in plus some interesting birds and a wonderful Bushbuck in the forest and the Rock Hyrax were rather photogenic too. Some photos below.

Beautiful photos Peter     I really need to get there, it has such beauty. I have only ever passed though on my way to "somewhere else".
The bird doesn't sing because it has answers, it sings because it has a song.

No we didn't stay in the cabins, although having seen them I can't think of many places I'd rather stay - spectacular. We were actually in Knysna which is part of the reason we ended up only having a few hours in the park rather than a whole day.

Magnificent Pic's.

If you want to see waves go again at Spring Tide!

Just spent two wonderful days there.

Did you know that some of the campsites have a similar location ?
Some are a few rows behind the foremost ones , but enjoy a similar view .

Tsitsikamma is a jewell .
KNP is sacred. I am opposed to the modernisation of Kruger and from the depths of my soul long for the Kruger of yesteryear! 1000+km on foot in KNP incl 56 wild trails.200+ nights in the wildernessndloti-indigenous name for serval.
