Hi All,

I will be visiting Storms River in December. Can I please have advise on which is the best and safest route to take from Gauteng. I will be pretty loaded and towing a bush trailer.

Are there any suggestions on a decent stop over resort for the night as I will be doing the trip in 2 days. It must have camping facilities as I will just put up the trailer tent for the night.

I would take the N1 national road branching off (to Port Elizabeth) at Gariep dam . Then Steynsburg , Hofmeyer and Cradock then join the N? to PE . PE to Stormsriver is garden route and very scenic .

Stopover must be Mountain Zebra park in Cradock (+- 800km) . They are bound to have camping sites available for the night you require .

The drive to MZNP from Jo'burg really isn't too bad and the roads are good.
I've also stopped at other places on that route before, will PM you.
