Hi there

I see on the bookings for the park that there is a North and South camp. Which one is the one in picture? http://www.sanparks.org/gallery/v/parks ... y.jpg.html

Jacques

That is the north camp Jacques....the south camp would be to the right when looking at that picture...
The south camp has more chalets etc and therefore I think it could be a bit busier. Both are great though.

I have stayed at the north Camp they are all Rondovals and pretty small.
Those in the South camp are very much bigger.
Kind regards

Hi Jacques, The Mrs and I have just spent 12 wonderfull nights in the North Camp. The rondawel was fully equipped for 2 people and serviced daily. By all means if you need lots of space then book into the South camp but otherwise you can not go wrong in the North camp.
I hope you enjoy as much as we did.
Johan

SO and I have stayed at both camps and also have camped.
I preferred the North side in the fairly rustic huts as they are close to the forest and forest trails are just a step from the door.

Have also stayed at both camps (both tent and chalet / cabin) but to be honest would vote for the North Camp as our fave. It gives you a greater sense of being closer to nature and also, you get to see loads of Knysna Louries.

You see a few Louries in the south camp too, and the Kingfishers are better! Honestly I don't think it really matters both are great!

Thank you all for your information. My family and I (wife and 4 boys) will be camping for the first time at the Wilderness site. Your preferences have helped me to look at the north camp first.

I will let you know how it goes!
