I do not know what the problem is, but some how this park is being neglected by forum members - there has been no regular feedback posted. I love this park and will be camping there in five weeks time on route to Kruger. Who has been there lately ? Please post some feedback.

How are the lions doing and does someone know what the status of black rhino in the park is ?

Come people, help me get charged up !

Len

The whole Frontier Region is very quiet on the Forums these days.
A year ago and earlier we had regular updates on Addo, MZNP as well as a little more action on the Karoo pages.

We also love this park. Only been there 3 times, but enjoyed every single minute.

Great Park, friendly staff and a guided hike is a must. :D

We made our first trip to Karoo in November 2013 and were very impressed. Great, friendly, staff. Lovely cottage - could have been timeshare, not National Parks.

Regarding lions - we saw tracks on the far 4x4 route. My ID of the tracks was confirmed when I looked at the sightings board - I believe the lions are radio-tracked.

Black rhino - no sightings but did see droppings and tracks.

Looking forward to going back at some stage - just a lot further for us than KNP!!

We also stayed at Mokala, Addo and Mountain Zebra National Parks and were day visitors at Camdeboo. We were very impressed by all the other parks - especially Mokala and MZNP.
