Hi
I have never been to Bontebok Park. I understand it is situated on the Breede River. Can one bring own canoes and actually canoe/kayak on the river ? Or is the river too low around the camp ?
Some photos indicate there might only be one deep river pool for swimming and the rest of the river quite low. We have inflatable canoes and I am worried about damaging the canoe if the river is too low or has lots of boulders etc.

If you want to do a Canoeing Trip I would highly Recomment either Augrabies (Kalahari Outvntures) or Richtersveld. But to avoid Disaapointments, Richtersveld used Crocks no Canoes, but it was great either. Crock Boats are made from Rubber (right word???), not plastik or wood... .
I really enjoyed the Rapids... . which were always great fun.
