Hi There,

I'm looking forward to a 4 + 1/2 week trip to SA, on our way home to Australia, I've been away 2 years in UK! My I'm planning on staying in Cape Town for 5 nights.

My questions are:

Is 5 nights nights long enough? we will be continuing from here along the garden route and to J bay flying out of P.E over about 3 weeks.

I've looked at a lot of hostels they all sound good. I've narrowed it down to one in Green Point and one in Tamboerskloof. We are a couple we'll have surf boards with us and will probably hire a car for 3 days to do day trips to wine country cape peninsula, table mountain Nat park and anywhere else that is recomended maybe surf beaches. But I can't decide! can you help??

We are also struggling to decide on weather to hire a car to travel the rest of our route to Port elizabeth or catch the baz bus as I think it will be much cheaper?

Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks!!
