Hi everyone!! Am planning on going to KTP in May 2016. I've read on this thread that Urikaruus "creaks" a lot but that post was a few years ago. Anyone been there recently? It the creaking really that disturbing? Also, though everyone seems to agree taht Urikaruus is the best wilderness camp I was wondering whether 3 nights might be too many, would you rather do Urikaruus 3 nights or Urikaruus 2 nights and Kieliekrankie 1 night?

thanks!!

Urikaruus is lovely, we didn't hear any creaking, I also think Kielikrankie is fantastic, I would say 2 nights Urikaruus and a night at Kiliekrankie

Hi gjorgi,

We were at Urikaruus last week and the two weeks before that, it still creaks, but it's not that disturbing.

We love all the wilderness camps and each has it's own uniqueness!! To experience something of each, maybe book 2 nights Urikaruus and maybe 2 at Kieliekrankie, but if you can't get 2 at Kieliekrankie then only one.

Kieliekrankie is in the middle of the dunes and not on the dry riverbed as Urikaruus is, so you'll have a different experience.

The floors do creak a lot, but you get used to them creaking fairly quickly
