Hello,

I would like to book a 2 accommodations in the Kgalagadi.
I can choose between different chalets.
I have seen the map of Nossob, but difficult to get a good idea.
I hope someone can give me some advice which chalet is better, more privacy and a good view.
We are with 2 persons, but if a family cottage is much better, we would like to pay the extra money.

Nossob, i can choose between; CH2, CH3, CH4, FA6 and GH4
Kalahari Tented Camp, I can choose between; FDT4 or DT2

Thank you

Syl000,

Try to book the CH6 at Nossob. Its the same price as the CH2, but much more space.

The FDT4 at KTC is very spacious, but the DT2 should be fine for 2 people. Your kitchen area is separate from the bedroom, so your will have more space in the FDT4 if you want to pack extra stuff on the other 2 beds.

Not sure about FA6 and GH4 at Nossob.

Ch6 is not availlable.
I can only choose between; CH2, CH3, CH4, FA6 and GH4

Syl000,

The Nossob camp is not helping a lot either, but the problem with advice is that I do not know which of the CH2 chalets are available and also not sure where is the GH4.

Apparently of the CH2 chalets 10 C is nice but avoid 5B. You will not be able to make this choice on-line so rather phone the park reservations and ask which numbers are available. You will be able then to see on a map if it is more private and if the front door face east as in the case of 5b. The swimming pool is east and the hide west.

Hi Syl0000,

A very warm welcome to the forum........ :gflower:

We,ve stayed in thr GH4 in Nossob. Its very nice, a bit further "uphill" and away from the other chalets. There are two units in one building with separate entrances. One has one bedroom and two single beds in a huge living room. The other have two bedrooms.

There's aircon and limited DSTV in these two units. Same as all other accommodation in Nossob, no electricity after 22h00.

I'll put up some photos of these two units tomorrow, then you can get an Idea how it looks like

We have stayed in all of the various options you mention in Nossob. Indeed GH4 is up the hill. Biggest and nicest in terms of facilities. However it is quite a distance in the dark to walk down to the hide if you want to go see what is at the waterhole at night. The good thing however about it, is that it quiet and away from the generally noisier campers (canvas walls are thin). GH4 is the old ranger house that was converted to accommodation.... bottom line... any accommodation in Nossob is great!... its Nossob after all.
