Hi everyone. :)
I came across a Magazine called: "Go! Kgalagadi" Your complete Guide. (The entire Magazine dedicated to Kgalagadi).
I really can recommend this outstanding Magazine to the "Staunch" Kgalagadi visitor and plenty of information to the "Newbie", still to visit Kgalagadi. :great:

:) With a Photo of Jan Kriel (Kgalagadi Guru) and a Lion Pic of non other than one of our Forum Members....Jan van Wyk, featured in this Magazine. :)

A Magazine to add to your collection.

Got mine for my visit in October.

So looking forward to visiting the KTP for the 3rd time.

I last visited so many years ago that I probably won't recognise the camps.

:D
Can't wait to get back in May for a 4th trip.

I spotted it on the shelf in a local supermarket and grabbed it. Together with recent articles in Getaway and Caravan & Outdoor Life, it tipped me over the edge!! A sudden thought occured to me, change our August booking at Satara and Maroela to Kgalagadi.........and I have!!!

Can't wait for out first trip to KTP!!! Been to KNP many times so this will be a great learning experience!

Any advice for KTP newbies would be most welcome. Am planning on leaving Pretoria by 3am and driving straight through.

We tow a Sprite Swing with a Discovery 3, so will be staying at Twee Rivieren and exploring from there.

Photographic hotspot tips also please :cam:

Hi DarylJ,

On my last 4 visits, the 2R area has been 'cooking'.

I wouldn't risk a caravan on the internal roads, but hey, you can do day trips as far as Nossob and MM.

It is all a photographic hot spot.

You do not (necessarily) have to travel as slowly as you would in Kruger, because it is very 'open' and you can see far.

Take your own drinking water, unless you like brack coffee.

Be prepared for the biggest, healthiest and most handsome lions you have ever seen too.
Whatever (according to BB): "You are correct but I don't want to admit it".

 Thanks Bush Baptist,

We don't intend taking the caravan any deeper into the park, I've read a few horror stories on some of the other forums

Will be picking up water supplies in Upington but am also taking our water filter/cooler. Can't have anything messing with my Nescafé, especially the first one of the day!!

I don't think I've been this excited about a holiday since our camper van North to South trip we did through the Kruger in '08!!!
