I think I read somewhere on the forum that the freshly baked bread that was delivered to your site each day at Nossob is no longer available? Is this true?

Also, apparently there is a shop nearby on the Namibian side at Mata Mata. Does one have to go through immigration at the Border Post if visiting the shop and if so is a a hassle? Is it better stocked than the shop at Mata Mata?

2 and a bit months to go! :D

When we were at Nossob last month we bought bread, so unless it's been stopped in the past month, you should still be able to buy bread there. Last year we also bought bread made by one of the workers at Mata-Mata, but we didn't this time so I can't vouch for availability there. Maybe Kalahari Guru knows for sure? He may also be able to answer your other questions.

The farm stall on the Namibian side at Mata Mata is about 500 metres into Namibia on the left, once you are through the Namibian border post.

No need to clear immigration.
Just leave your vehicle on the RSA side and speak nicely to the police manning the RSA border control and they will let you walk across the border to the farm stall.
As a courtesy we also stop in at the Namibian border control.

As to stock. The shop at Mata Mata carries the basics, whereas the farm stall has things like biltong, bottled jams and most times fresh meat. The kudu wors is great.

The farm stall is closed from 12.30pm until 3pm on weekdays.
Found this out one very hot day.
Do not know about weekend trading hours.
