Thank you so much GavinW for posting your awesome (and scary) photos of those lions in the loo and picnic place at Lijersdraai! We were having a picnic in that very same spot just a month earlier in April last year......and the grass was as long as in your pictures!

@ hilda: Be very careful of those "tame" BBJ's at Dikbaardskolk, they will steel your food in no time and are still wild animals! They only appear 'tame' because they are so shread! Haha!

A stunning photo PRWIN and with a lens like this, you can sit anywhere and still see if he has brushed his teeth! Jokes aside, a really great close - up.......not to mention the golden morning light! Thank you for posting!

@ simonbee: Those are really stunning photos you have posted here in this tread and thank you for taking time off to do this! Those two (new) arrivals (lion cubs) taken at Craig lockhart waterhole is just too cute! ........and the full frontal cheetah picture is just right for an outdoor magazine!

These two lionesses caught a Gemsbuck less than 20 meters outside TR on Sunday 17 March 2013. Right next to the camp fence.

They moved off a bit and then the Brownie saw a chance to get a bite for breakfast!!!

Hi SL,

Nope it must have been before gate opening.

We got there ten minutes after gate opening ( ja I know but the packing up took longer than I thought!!!) and the lionesses have already opened the Gemsbuck up........best was there was no other cars!!!! That would not have happened in KNP!!!

Absolutely stunning LQ as for it happening in KNP well Ive witnessed a croc grab an impala at berg n dal and then ofcourse the leopard I found next to the fence right by the plaque that reads of the leopard having killed a ranger at berg n dal camp it was busy stalking something when I happened on him well needless to say I got a fright and adrenalin rush at the same time at the leopard sighting next to the fence and the leopard got a fright so he just stopped and stared at me didnt run but the look I got well it was spine chilling as I think he decided I looked like a more filling meal than the guinea fowl he was originally after lol thank goodness for a fence I was also alone at the fence with this leopard it was kind of a freaky feeling here I wanted to tell the world heres a gorgeous leppie and then I felt like I think I need to go before he figures out how to get passed electrified fence and then I just felt like wow I have this leppie all to myself this is MAGIC! :)
