This topic is for articles to be taken to KTP and will be cleaned regulary as projects are finalised
All such projects must go through the VHRs

Planning to go to KTP mid-July from Jo'burg. Should have space for some things.
I also have some old field guides I bought a few years ago when the project to send old guides to KTP was started. Is this project still ongoing?

Hi there Josh,

Thanks so much for the offer regarding the Field Guides; it would be extremely useful in the new information centre and also towards the wilderness camp staff.

Thanks again.

Regards

KG

Hi all,
just a quick question re donating clothes to villages around KTP.
Last time we visited KTP we donated hats, gloves, scarves etc and are wondering if the project is still running?
If it is we will start collecting now and when we arrive on October 24th we'll give the goodies to Jannie?

Your advice on this matter would be most appreciated.

Take care wherever you are.

PF and DASSIEDELIGHT.

Hi PF - just to say YES PLEASE !! The project is still running even though it has slowed down a lot this year unfortunately ... but there is still a huge need and Jannie is still collecting and distributing to those who need in the communities surrounding the park ...

Please can I ask that you let me know when you do take stuff up ( as well as Jannie) as I need to keep a record for the books  The topic has been moved to the Members lounge and is under the SANParks VHRs Wild Projects so you can just let me know via there if you like ... hope this is the right link ... viewtopic.php?style=2&f=70&t=54245

Thank you so much - really do appreciate it so much as I know Jannie does too :gflower:

Hi Scouter,thanks for quick reply.
Collection of relevant items will now begin and we will stuff as much as we can in our luggage, its only a shame that we will be restricted by the amount of bags/weight of bags but will bring as much as possible.
Can't wait for October to arrive, countdown has begun

Take care wherever you are.

PF and DD.

PS. Will advise you of what we're bringing nearer the time and of course Jannie will be told when we see him.

Only a pleasure PF :D

I do know that its so much harder for you 'mites from overseas to bring us things, thats why we are extra grateful :k .. thank you so much !!

I bet you cant wait for October .. hope you are coming for a nice long time  At least the weather will be better than in the UK then ... we are in the Cape and its bitterly cold at the moment - not much rain but some severe storms so far ...

Will chat nearer the time again .. thanks a mill and hope the time goes quickly for you guys !
