AG its now the start of the racing season....it could be a local youngster who just hasn't yet realize where his home is exactly or it could be another towns pigeon who got lost during an exercise flight . Just put out a container with water, it might be thirsty....most pigeons would not eat during a exercise flight. If it stays more than two days, give it some maize (if you do have that handy).

It was yesterday, I think it already left, but was picking some food crumbles in front of the reception/restaurant.
Did not know that it is the racing season,thanks.

Racing season is usually from May till September.

We saw a pigeon at Auchterlonie a few years back. And he stayed there for a few days.

Sometimes wind blow them off course or something happens with their on board GPS ( :tongue: ) and they get lost.

Very interesting Lion Queen! Silly question .... if they get lost, do they become wild again? Or does the owner try to find it? Or do people advertise somewhere to make it known that there is a racing pigeon in their area so that owners can try to find them again? :hmz:
