Thank you all for the comments and that I can share memories

Think the youngsters dad was the Old Male Fred. He was last seen the beginning of 2012.
The cubs were +- 2km from where he was resting and start roaring 3 meters from our car.

The pose

The following two images were taken by my son. (sometimes it is an advantage to have a short lens)

Like father, like son!
He inherited your talent!
Old Fred, was he Ousus's son?
Is their family tree somewhere on the web?
Keep posting Jan!
We enjoy your :cam:

Thank you kyknetta

Agree it will be interesting if Fred is indeed Ousus son?

Some info from Gabriela about Old Fred........(dont think she would mind  )

This is FRED!

"We looked for him around mid-March, but in vain...So glad he is still alive! This must be taken at Mata Mata? If so, kindly tell us where exactly. Was he in a poor condition? Did his arthritis impair his movements? We miss him so much, this mean old fellow...he entertained us over the past few years on so many occasions. There used to be two subadult males and two cubs in Feb 2011 when we last saw him with his female.
Over the past few years we have observed and photographed Fred, but this time he was not there.
We only managed to get a booking for one night at Mata Mata in October this year-he'd better be there, and we will search high and low, just to get a glimpse of him. We love this old boy. He is a survivor. Despite that mean look, he has tolerated many of his young sons till they were almost adults. When it was time to chase them, he did so kindly. Not "kindly" as in human terms, but without hurting them really. In fact we witnessed quite a few episodes, from afar, at 13th borehole, when he was sending these young males off on their own. We have seen him in the company of the same female for some years now. Dear Jan-what a wonderful surprise, those photographs! You cannot imagine our joy-THANK YOU!

Gabriela"

Few more images of the youngsters

Not very happy..........may be hungry
