12 February 2015
A sighting so special, it has to be shared!!
On a sunset drive from Nossob, at Rooikop waterhole we saw 20 lions together in and next to the road.
There were 2 pride males, 5 adult lionesses and 13 cubs!
Yes, all the cubs that were previously seen together a while ago are well and alive!!
Truelly amazing!!

13 February
The next mornig we saw them again!! They were all huddled together between fallen logs halfway between
the turnoff to Marie se Draai and the waterhole on the left side of the road. We couln't see any adults, maybe they were out hunting.

Dwyka,

Thank you so much for sharing such a special sighting with us! Will be in Mata Mata with bus full of school kids 2 weeks from now -- what would I give to show them something like that!
God bless,

11 February 2015
After roaring the whole night around Nossob, we found one of the so-called Nossob brothers
the next morning just outside camp gate, still roaring, somewhat obscured by bushes.

He met up with his brother across the riverbed and late afternoon came to drink at the waterhole.
After drinking for a while, they passed very near the hide and for a while posed for all the cameras.
They are so beautiful!!

8 February 2015
Lioness on a dune very near Kij Kij, there were more, lying behind the bushes.

A while later this enormous male lion approached the waterhole at Kij Kij. He didn't drink water,
walked past and rest under a tree on the opposite side of the road. Of note is that a mark is
branded on his left thigh.
